The children

There is no need to explain any further. The whole country, perhaps there whole world, is talking about the fate of immigrant children under the Trump administration draconian edicts. This administration has created a crisis where there was none, and blaming the Democratic Party for what transpired. “I got a bad hand,” says the president. Totally false. He received a thriving economy from Barack Obama and the momentum continued to create jobs for which he is taking credit. He says he doesn't believe any president has done what he has done in 500 days. If he means nobody has created was much chaos, or caused so much disruption he may be fright.

He has removed us from NATO and has diminished our influence abroad. It will take decades to undo the damage that he has done. He proceeded to insult all the night show hosts on every network and NBC by name where he had his own show The Apprentice. His lack of humility is breathtaking. As Eugene Robinson writes in the Washington Post, it is foolish to underestimate the power of Trump’s lies.” He entertains his audiences by lying about everything from immigration to the economy to his interference with the Justice Department’s investigations. His attempts to punish China, Europe and NAFTA for trade imbalances have backfired as the Chinese government has imposed serios tariffs on American made goods.

We will find out eventually that there is a net loss in jobs in production and in prestige for our nation. But the main focus of his malicious style of government is the way he has sowed fear among the immigrant population. Robinson added that “Trump created an immigration crisis to stoke resentment and anger among his base.” His barbaric policy was retracted, but the damage to thousands of children will be lasting.
